What is a Third Space?
A third space is a place where people can gather and connect outside of their home (the "first space") and work or school (the "second space"). It’s often a relaxed, neutral environment where individuals can socialize, build relationships, and feel a sense of community.
Examples of third spaces include:
cafes, libraries, parks, community centres, mosques, temples, churches and other places of worship
These spaces are important because they bring people together, encourage conversations, and help create a sense of belonging in a community.
